Factory Street Dining Room
Nestled in the historic part of the home, this dining room was thoughtfully designed to honor its rich past. It’s also a perfect example of ‘historic coastal’ —rooted in the heritage of Sandwich, where tradition goes beyond the typical blue and white palette that we see more often than not on Cape Cod.
We layered dark wood flooring with locally crafted black Windsor chairs and iron accents, creating a timeless, grounded aesthetic.
Our favorite pieces are the custom dining table and sideboard, designed by our team and meticulously handcrafted in Boston, Massachusetts—true pieces of heirloom craftsmanship.
To finish the space, we styled with essentials from Mac & Co. Shoppe - the Fiona Vase, Devin Candlesticks, and Julien Martini Glasses.
Every detail in this home was thoughtfully designed to align with its overall aesthetic, down to the very last piece of furniture. When creating custom pieces, we always consider the home’s time period—in this case, 1843, during the American Revival era.
Wooden furniture from this period was often crafted from walnut and featured ornate details like spindled legs. We honored these historical elements in our design of this custom sideboard, blending craftsmanship with authenticity to create a piece that feels both timeless and true to the home’s heritage.
