At first, I hired Mackenzie & Company because I knew I would need help selecting the right lighting and plumbing fixtures that would be appropriate for a 180 year old home with a brand new addition. I brought in Angela and her team right after the framing was done but while the internal walls were still 2x4s. She made some critical suggestions on how best to use the space, especially where plumbing fixtures were involved such as sinks, toilets, showers, etc. Her selections for cabinetry, colors, and materials helped to beautifully combine the old with the new. The original part of the house looks historic, but fresh and not old. And the new part blends perfectly with the historic. The choices of furniture, window treatments and accessories make my home look like something from a design magazine. But very comfortable at the same time. It is a joy to look at from every room and perspective. The Mackenzie team (including Angela, Samantha and Sierra) were all a pleasure to work with. Their process of selecting and providing samples to choose made the whole process fun. If I were to do it all again, they would be my first choice for advice.
