Built of stone—
reminiscent of a French chateau.
Settled on two and a half acres of wooded conservation land, sits this home built of stone with stunning exterior architecture reminiscent of a French chateau. From the inside looking out, a view of ample greenery as far as the eye can see. The imagination wanders, envisioning a collection of horses peacefully grazing among the land.
For this client, the practical parts of enjoying the home and what mattered most, was the ability to entertain family and friends and be functional for the rhythms of daily life.
On the main floor, graceful arched doorways provide a view into the main living area. The unique arch shape is repeated throughout the home, most notably on the built-ins. To create a focal point and add a moody tone, we painted them a dramatic Hale navy.
When devising a new floor plan for the second floor, we worked to revamp awkward, unused areas to create a primary suite and an additional guest bathroom. In the primary bath, a hand-crafted vanity sits elegantly on encaustic tiles.
